Does where you park your car make a real difference when it comes to keyless theft? Last winter, I started leaving my car outside overnight instead of using the shared garage. A neighbour mentioned that parking near the entrance might make it easier for thieves. Now I'm wondering whether choosing a different parking spot can actually reduce the risk.

The parking spot can make a difference, especially when a car is left close to the street or in an area with little lighting. I used to park beside a quiet side entrance because it was more convenient when unloading shopping. After a car nearby was targeted, I started using a space closer to the main building entrance. I also read about how a car key emulator relates to keyless vehicle security and relay-based theft techniques. It made me pay more attention to where I keep my keys at home, too. A locked garage is a good option when available, but even outdoors, visible, well-lit parking with cameras can offer extra peace of mind. I wouldn't rely on parking location alone, though.
